Following a Spectacular performance over the course of the Connolly's Redmills Spring Tour, Sven took the 2017 title with over 16 points to spare over his closest rival. Although Sven had the title in the bag before the final weekend, he didn't give up as he competed in the final round at Warrington and was pipped at the post when he had an unlucky four faults at the final fence in the jump-off.

Sven upped the ante when he took another win in the Connolly's Redmills Spring Tour in Barnadown. Riding Hadley Sport Horses’, Sumas Taloubet he lodged the winning round of clear in 42.76 in the Ballywalter Farms sponsored class . This is the third win for this combination having won in the opening round at Jag Equestrian and then following week at Cavan. The pairing also finished third in Killossery and second in Ballinamona and as a result have clocked up 44 points

It was another good weekend for Sven as he took second place in the Connolly's Remills Spring Tour in Broadmeadows. Riding Quanbell he recorded a clear in 35.37. This placing served to maintain his lead on top of the leaderboard.

Sven has got his national season of to a good start as he currently tops the leaderboard in the Connolly’s Redmills Spring Tour. Sven took the first round of the Tour at Jag Equestrian in February with Sumas Taloubet. Sven who had just returned from a tour of duty in Belgium dominated the classes on the day, taking the 1.10m with Nicolas Canavan’s Clover Falcon and the 1.20m Why Not Fado. Sven maintained the pressure in the second round at Cavan when he took another win with Sumas Taloubet. In the third round at Ravensdale as last to go, Hadley took every tight turn and stopping the clock in 33.67 seconds proved only good enough for third place. In Portmore, the runner-up slot with with Sumas Taloubet when they came home clear in 34.54. Sven also took fourth place in this round with Quanbell when clear 37.54 seconds. Sven no occupies the top spot on the leaderboard on 36 points

The Bet Showjumping Qualifiers took place at Galway Equestrian Centre on Sunday last. Pictured is Sven Hadley on Quanbell, winner of the 1:30 class with Dr. Stefan Kraan, Oceanfeed who sponsored the class. The finalists go on to take part in the Bet Showjumping Final in Mullingar Equestrian Centre on Bank Holiday Monday.
